Luscious Welcomes Dana Lorraine

by on December 3, 2013

Hey there everyone! My name is Dana Lorraine and my paranormal erotic m/f/m story, Dying to Love Her, was just released a few weeks ago by Ellora’s Cave. Thanks to Lynn for having me on her blog again so soon so I can share with you where my passion for writing erotic romance began and of course, my yummy vampire personal trainers.

You’re here today so I assume you like to read as much as I do. Ever since I was a tween and picked up Double Love I’ve been hooked.

Hold on—Double Love? Was she…oh my…she wasn’t reading THOSE kind of books as a kid, was she?

If this thought just ran through your head like a crazy naked person don’t worry—Double Love is the first book in Francine Pascal’s teen series, Sweet Valley High. It was my gateway read into the world of romance. I couldn’t get enough of Elizabeth (I sooo wanted to be her) and her twin sister Jessica (I sooo hated her) and their drama—most of which involved some dreamy boy.

From there I moved onto the classics and hunky men. I read into all hours of the night wanting to be swept away by an equally dashing man as Mr. Darcy. And then I went to college.  There wasn’t much time to read for pleasure but I was travelling to Japan with a few of my classmates and someone brought along Anne Rice’s dark erotic Beauty series.

Oh my!  Suffice it to say I had never read anything like that.

I moved onto Rice’s vampire books, her Mayfair witches and fell in love with the paranormal genre. I searched for books that gave me both creatures of the night and love ever after. But I didn’t forget the thrill of erotica and back I went.

They say to write what you know. So for me it was an obvious choice to write paranormal erotic romance. And if I was going to write erotic I might as well go all the way and write ménage because really…it doesn’t get much more erotic than that.

I like my threesomes—in books of course—to be about love. That’s the romance fan in me. The odd guy out helping fulfill a fantasy for his buddy’s girlfriend is a sexy storyline but it doesn’t leave me sighing at the end of the book.

Melanie, my curvy heroine, couldn’t choose between the heroes, Rook and Alec, even if she tried. How could I ask her to when there’s no way I could? Rook with his easy going sexiness and Alec’s fevered passion—both are equally sigh-worthy.

Want to see just how lucky Melanie is? Read the blurb to find out.

Blurb:

When Melanie Woodson joins Empriva Fitness she expects to lose weight, not gain two sexy vampire personal trainers. With an exercise regimen that includes horizontal workouts, fat-burning orgasmic bites and lusty words of encouragement, she’s in serious danger of forgetting their relationship is based on a business agreement and not mutual attraction.

Alec Kosta and Rook Abernathy, best friends and owners of Empriva, have waited over a century for the right lifemate to come along. Now that they’ve found Melanie with her endless curves and quick wit, they’re ready to give up countless lifetimes to spend just one with her.

But time isn’t on their side—they’ve tasted her blood and now mere days is all they have to convince her their love is real or risk losing her forever.

Seriously lucky. right? When a fitness center like this really opens you can all get in line behind me. LOL!

About The Author

Dana Lorraine never dreamed she’d grow up to be a writer. A voracious reader of romance, one day she decided to write one of her own. And now she never wants to stop. Paranormal, sci-fi or contemporary, ménage or one-on-one, don’t ask her to limit herself to just one type because she loves them all.

She makes killer meatballs, loves to reread her favorite romances and likes any drink served with an umbrella. A bookseller by day and mother of two wonderful daughters all the time, you’ll find Dana sweet-talking her husband into doing laundry and bringing home take-out so she has more time to write.

You asked: Tell me what you love about vampires?

I’m not a vampire lover, more in like! I’m always fascinated by the ability to move thru time and space, the ability to tame how and when to feed and the ability to love over centuries. I would think it a very heart wrenching existence.

I find it intrigues me to read the way authors work to humanize them. Makes for some good reading when it hooks me.

    Thanks for the opportunity.

  2. Thanks for the comment Belinda! You’re so right about authors seeking to humanize vampires…mine actually read more human than vampire. Good Luck with the contest. Dana

Vampires are cool because of their abilities. Their speed and strength are exceptional. I do think that the eternal life aspect must be lonely, but that can be easily fixed. Right? 🙂
