100 Days of Summer Vacation
Whew. June is in full swing and my social calendar has exploded. This weekend is a carnival party for my nieces and nephews, complete with games and prizes. I think my sister even mentioned a candy bar. Let me clarify, a candy bar is where she will set out all sorts of sweet treats, suckers/lollipops, jaw breakers, licorice, gum drops for her children’s to ingest along with cake and ice cream. Good thing the festivities are being held outside. There’s even supposed to be some wrestling provided by the talented athletes of Pure Pro Wrestling.
I’ve also spent the last two days babysitting said nieces and nephews. We did the Cabela’s thing. Cabela’s is this sporting goods store that has a displays of wild animals (really cool btw) as well as this huge aquarium with fish and turtles and whatever else is in the water. Either way it was enough to occupy young and old alike…it doesn’t take much to fascinate me. I think watching a front loading washer go through its cycle is entertaining.
So we roasted marshmallows over a bonfire, let the kids run around in the backyard for a bit. (had to burn off the sugar from the marshmallows) Then they came in were out like sweet little angels. In the meantime I’ve got to get two kids ready to go off to camp on Sunday and then I’ll have the house to myself for fun and games.
And in between all that I’ve managed to sub a story, look for Take the Cake coming from Sugar and Spice Press.
And as a reminder Whispers is closing this month, so you have a little time to get titles from your favorite authors, including moi. Seducing His Wife is now available in print. Isn’t the new cover yummy?
