Turkey Breakfast Sausage

Breakfast_Turkey_Sausage_PattiesSometimes you want a change, but still stay the same, right?  You can have it in this tasty turkey breakfast sausage.  With the use of a pound of turkey meat and some essential spices, you can have the taste of pork sausage without the fat of pork sausage.

Here’s what you’ll need:

1 pound  ground turkey

3/4  – 1 teaspoon salt ( adjust to taste)

3/4 teaspoon rubbed sage

1/2  1 teaspoon pepper (adjust to taste)

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1/2 teaspoon Jamaican Jerk Seasoning (totally optional)

Place the turkey in a mixing bowl.  In a separate, smaller bowl, combine the spices.  Once mixed, sprinkle over the turkey and mix thoroughly.  Create sausage patties and fry in olive oil (or any kind of oil) for 5 minutes on each side.
