Pot Luck Wednesday ~ BBQ Ribs

Hey ya folks,

Happy Wednesday, with the winter weather happening up North and a lot of folks getting stuck at home thanks to the various storms I thought it would be nice to share a different recipe. Because of the cold outside I decided to seek out something summery. I happened on this recipe for BBQ ribs and the beauty of it is you don’t have to have a grill to make them. I haven’t tried it personally but it appears really simple and who doesn’t like BBQ. Check out the recipe below I found it on All recipes. If you try it let me know how it turns out.


Original recipe makes 4 servings
  • 2 1/2 pounds country style pork ribs

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 2 tablespoons salt

  • 1 cup barbeque sauce


  1. Place ribs in a large pot with enough water to cover. Season with garlic powder, black pepper and salt. Bring water to a boil, and cook ribs until tender.
  2. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  3. Remove ribs from pot, and place them in a 9×13 inch baking dish. Pour barbeque sauce over ribs. Cover dish with aluminum foil, and bake in the preheated oven for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, or until internal temperature of pork has reached 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).
